Las Vegas 2010

It must have been over 10 years since the last time I went to Las Vegas so Betty and took a weekend trip back in June. I’m not a huge gambler and Vegas wasn’t a huge draw for me but we wanted to experience it again. It’s changed since I’ve been there, extremely changed. Downtown Vegas was a near ghost town when we were there and to this day it remains our favorite part of town. It’s what Vegas should be and has so much character and the Art Deco architecture truly is a wonder. The Strip, I can live without as it’s really just a big ugly circus full of strip mall like structures, where everything is way over priced and trying too hard to entertain the masses in, I must say, a rather tasteless way. Anyway here’s my photo essay….
On another note I’m moving in the direction of doing photo essays rather than a daily posts. Just find it more fulfilling and most importantly not as time consuming. Hope ya’ll come back to visit once in a while.
Good stuff!!! Where the heck was the shoulder massage happening and why did I not get one??? Sounds good right about now, come to think of it…

HI, ENZO!
Betty October 15th, 2010 at 10:15 amA photo essay works so well for a place like Las Vegas. Lots of good stuff here! I’m especially drawn to the third picture. Something about him being all alone, but surrounded by slot machines…

Christopher Layne October 27th, 2010 at 11:05 pmThanks all..
The shoes are from the Liberace Museum, which I hear is now closing so those were actually his shoes. The Museum itself is one trippy place and so kitchy.
