Examiner Model (by Tatsume Iwate)

Examiner Model (by Tatsume Iwate)

A vintage Kodachrome photograph from the 1950’s by Tatsume Iwate that I’ve mentioned before. I scanned this a few years ago so the quality isn’t as good but it’s good enough for now. From what I gather it’s from a fashion show in Union Square most likely sponsored by the San Francisco Examiner. Tatsume has a set of photographs that I’ll be posting from this day and from his archives. I need to rescan them to see what I have as there’s hundreds of them.

Photographer Tatsume Iwate. Camera unknown.

  1. My mom wore bathing suits like this. I have many family photo’s – going back to the early 1900’s.

I have a wonderful photo of my mom and her sisters on the Beach in Asbury Park, NJ in the 40’s.

I must scan it and post it.

    Great picture!

  2. Brian yes you should scan them and post it. The photographs from the past truly are amazing especially if it’s a family heirloom. I’d love to see them. Thanks for stopping by.
