The last Friday of the month is Critical Mass, a display of the power of a band of bicyclist who take over the streets. Initially organized to send a message about the dangers of riding a bicycle in our city streets, it now seems like a social event instead of a protest. A few years ago friction occurred when irritated drivers caught in the mess battled it out with bike riders. Thankfully now it’s just a fun event and another photo opportunity for souls like me.
