Chinatown, 2009

Sorry for the lack of photos lately as I ventured to the East Coast for some fun. Didn’t do a whole ton of photos while I was there but I did manage to take a few. Additionally my beloved XA4 died while I was there which put a damper on my “stealth” type photography. I hope to fix it myself or get it repaired as I’m very sad about it.

Haven’t shown a Chinatown photo in awhile so here ya go. Olympus XA4 at 1600 iso.

  1. I like the angle on this shot.
Sorry to hear about your XA4. I hope you have luck getting it repaired. You’ve taken some excellent pictures with that camera.

  2. Great perspective. You’ve captured the mood/feelings of being squished I so often feel when in SF Chinatown.

  3. I love the close crop of this image, it really does ceate the feeling of the hustle and bustle of the street market.

    An unusual angle too. 🙂

  4. Very excellent John. For all the reasons mentioned above and more.

  5. Thanks everyone! I tried fixing the XA4 myself but it seems the shutter is dead. I’ll keep trying but I did open it up with no luck so far :(.
