I was bummed to learn that my Quinceanera photograph wasn’t chosen for the cover of Julia Alvarez’s upcoming book Once Upon a Quinceanera: Coming Age in the USA. I received a phone call awhile back about the photograph that they discovered via Google and they wanted me to submit a high resolution copy of it. I should be honored to have been considered in the first place and leave it at that but I’m still disappointed. It would have been so cool to be on a book cover by a well known writer.

Oh, you’ll notice that the thin border around the photograph is now gone. Felt it was slowing down the site and that it looks better & cleaner without it. Hope you agree.
